Amethyst: Intellectual Balance

Amethyst symbolizes healing, purification, and spiritual power. It can be a protection stone, and is believed to aid intuition and insight. Many people believe it aids in divination, and will sometimes keep a piece of amethyst with rune sets, Tarot decks, and other divination tools.

Amethyst is a very good, versatile healing stone. It can be used to heal a wide range of ailments, and works well with almost every major system in the body. Amethyst is good at focusing energy. When worn, amethyst can protect the wearer, and if placed under the pillow or worn during sleep it can sometimes bring meaningful dreams.

Bloodstone: Protection

Bloodstone symbolizes health and the blood. It is one of the few stones that both conducts and amplifies energy well. In healing, it is used to assist in reproduction and blood flow/circulation. Fire and Earth elementals both like bloodstone. (It is one of the few non-flammable substances that a Fire elemental will accept in a bargain.)

Carnelian: Dragon Power

This stone is power stone. It is a dragon stone of power. This stone is to be used for strength and power. It is also used to attract all things. So use wisely.

Citrine: To Attract

Citrine is believed to control emotions and give a new sense of purpose to the holder/wearer. It is thought to facilitate psychic awareness, remove fear, and prevent nightmares. It is often used in cleansing to attract and absorb negative energy.

Citrine can be used to bring bright things into your life. It is a good cleanser, but not as good at removing and absorbing negative energy, as is hematite. Citrine promotes positive energy and positive thinking.

Fluorite: Emotional Balance

Fluorite has been used to clear the mind and reduce emotional involvement. It is felt to be a very intellectual stone, good to use for mental acuity but not good to use for physical or emotional things. Some people believe that a piece of fluorite present will strengthen the effect of other stones. It is sometimes seen to be an emotionally cold stone

Hematite: To absorb Negativity

Hematite symbolizes balance. It is used to ground, stabilize, and focus attention on the physical plane. It is popular among many pagans for its ability to absorb negative energy.

Hematite can absorb both positive and negative energy, though it is most often used to absorb negative energy. It is a very easy stone to clear and cleanse, and thus can be used multiple times in the absorption of energy. Hematite has connections to both Fire and Earth. It, like bloodstone, can be ground and used as a substitute for blood in spells. DO NOT DRINK hematite; it does not heal internal problems well and can cause great harm if ingested.

Jade is a sacred stone in China, and was often given as a gift from the groom to the bride before a wedding. Much lore surrounds jade. It is believed to be an attractant for love, to prolong life and bring peaceful death, and to prevent disease.

Moonstone: To attract and Goddess energy

Moonstone, logically, has long been linked with the Moon. It can absorb lunar power, and some believe that moonstone's strength fluctuates along with the phases of the moon, being strongest when the moon is full and weakest when it is new. It symbolizes long life, friendship, and loyalty

Obsidian: Scrying

Obsidian is natural glass. Polished pieces are often used as a Scrying mirror in divination. Obsidian is an aggressively protective stone, meaning to protect its wearer it might lash out against a perceived threat. Obsidian is close to Fire. It is believed by many that one should never exchange or give away a piece of obsidian, as it is thought to be a very personal stone that attaches itself to its user.

Quartz is a very popular stone. It is highly versatile. It can be used to open psychic centers and is very good at amplifying and focusing power. Quartz is also a popular stone to use in meditation. Quartz seems to work best when shaped as a point.

Rose Quartz: Love
